Meet the instructor:

Salam I am Maryam!

I am from LA and grew up in the States. I studied accounting in college and worked at an Islamic school after graduating. After teaching at an Islamic school I moved to Iran and started to study in the huwza. I majored in Islamic philosophy while studying psychology and tibb sunnati (eastern medicine) on the side. I been in Iran for the past 7 years.

When I was 25 my only brother passed away. I was crushed and broken. But I had to learn how to handle all the emotions and thoughts that came with it. It wasn’t easy and if you’re struggling with hardships in your life I get you. I am here to tell you you’re not alone and all of us are struggling.

Dealing with others can be hard sometimes. People have different opinions and perspectives which might not always be the same as ours. We also have religious duties to certain people like our family members which makes it even trickery. There’s a feeling of guilt that sometimes creeps in because we don’t want comply with all their wishes yet we still want fulfill our Islamic responsibility towards them. Or sometimes we might feel overwhelmed with all the requests that are made by them.

I am here to tell you, you’re not alone. This is normal and many people feel stuck in the same position.  Alhamduliah there are solutions to all of this and I would like to teach you what I have learned. Studying Islam, Islamic philosophy and psychology has given me the tools to teach others how to navigate our responsibility towards others while maintaining our own inner peace and happiness.

I know these are hard times and many people are struggling economically. I don't want to cause hardship on anyone. If you're struggling financially and can’t afford this workshop you can use the following discount code to waive the fee: yaali110
